I think she’s the only one that eats bugs, which is why she was labeled as a heretic and unwanted in the actual elf sanctuary, and probably why the other elf dude spit the tea out when he heard it was made with bug parts.

I think he is making use of the expanded storage and the glow is him stealing the whole garden. Humans can be greedy after all.
