I was not expecting such a backstory in this over the top power fantasy.
Mother of god…. that backstory… it was so cool… 
Right up until the point… that his whole village died because… 
they chose to live below a hill of precarious rocks and mud?
(So it was his fault they died? But not mention or regret it?) [just like all those innocent civilians in the stands and city] but i guess he never learned empathy and they are emphasizing him being a monster?

So he is smart but i guess none of those books he read included physics, geology, forestry, woodland pruning… or choosing not to live in a (flood plain, tsunami inlet, in an active volcano crater, etc…)
In this case, not to live below a steep hillside covered in dirt and rocks? 
Too bad they used all those ROCKS for a pile for him to sit on… instead of a wall around their village.
