bro this had so much potential but the author just had to waste it with the crappy and honestly lazy plot point, ffs there’s not even a reason for mc to be self deprecating, he’s been treated perfectly fine by his comrades, has no childhood trauma and has had a respectful job, the authors just too bloody lazy to write a decent plot
Agreed. This ‘poor me’ routine is exhausting, and I get tired of the needlessly petty and evil morons in stories like this. It’s just…lazy writing. This story has a lot of potential, so fingers crossed it gets better?

The MC spent fourteen years behind the desk at the Guild dealing with adventurers, and now he’s behaving like a retard who spent that time asleep. Didn’t he learn ANYTHING in that time, like how strong different ranks are or how obnoxious, arrogant or stupid they can be ? He must know that the party that trained him are ‘off the scale’, but not everyone else is. This ‘I’m so weak and everyone else is so strong’ performance doesn’t make any sense at all.
When this worlds most interesting amd powerfull characters show up…
And instead of being happy, the author has made us want to go…
BOOOOOOOOOO YOU SUCK! Go away and let the mc handle it, so he can learn how strong he is.. or get some sense beaten into him….

Spends 2 chapters teasing us that the mc might actually do something or fight… then right as the enemies force him into a corned and about to fight…

I shall new expect 5 mor chapters of the mc crying in terror… while plot armor prevents him from ever doing anything cool or smart with his strength.

It feels like every character so far besides his close friends are throwaways to provide some opportunity for the MC to comedically flex on them. I hope we get to explore the world a bit more intimately than this blatantly corrupt system. I hope the nobles get more than a slap on the wrist for putting an innocent official in hospital and attempting to assassinate a random adventurer for no good reason. I hope there is something more than flexing.
