It is a dumb idea to enter into a business venture with someone who is bad with money.
He should have done a thorough investigation on the people in his group. Especially since they are suppose to help keep him alive. He had months to do so. Or maybe he new and planned to make money off of them all along. Which would make him just as evil as them.
MC is ruthless ngl.
But dayum i do love MC, if they hadnt gamble from the first place they would still be friends.
perfectly valid reaction from MC. they were a group that went together risking their lives on missions for a joint goal and half of them went and literally betrayed the rest. he explained it perfectly previously – what are you supposed to do, forgive them? if so, can you still leave your back to them?
you can’t. trust is paramount when lives are on the line, you need to know you can absolutely depend on who you’re with to have your back and there’s no way that’ll happen in the future. there will always be that little seed of doubt gnawing at the back of your mind that they will betray you again, you just never know when.
you can’t go into battle with such thoughts on your head.
i love this author the same guy who did that one revenge story, its so ruthless
