I keep seeing this theme pop up without anyone talking about it, so I will do the talking:
Only things that are not permanent are valuable. Life would become worthless if you found out you were immortal. Joy would become worthless if you were bombarded with it. Water would be worthless if the universe had more than anyone could ever need or want. To put it bluntly, value only exists though scarcity.
So treasure your memories, treasure your life, treasure everything you have that may or may not be valueable to you. They might not seem valuable now, but they are, because they are not permanent. Nothing in this world is permanent besides entropy and death; and I’m sure you want neither. Nothing is permanent, so value what you have, because you won’t have it forever, and that makes it valueable.
