I like the story and all but the MC is still a big wuss for becoming a hikikomori over some public embarrassment. I’ve dealt that level of embarrassment multiple time, even that exact situation. Never stop going to school, never stopped liking real 3D girls.
The fact that his parents let him become a hikikomori is the real problem.
