This story was peak when he first started collecting egos like the wolf and Cresetus the giant. Then collecting the undead, some griffins, mantises, and a few angels was fun. But for the last 40 or so chapters of just focusing on the background story, which basically amounts to a lot of mish-mashed myths, it’s kind of gone downhill. Would much rather see more creative power progressions than this sort of background filler leading to what is supposed to be some climatic power clash.
