Can we stop with calling Dias an idiot. he’s a simple man with no education, that doesn’t make you stupid nor an idiot. He’s honest to a fault (yeah ok that can be pretty stupid considering the world we live in), but being honest and equating that to idiocy is…well stupid.
Heads-up to understnd the start, from infos gathered from later chapters:
The King sent Dias there as his trusted man, BUT he wasn’t told so so; and one of the princes intercepted (stole) everything the King had granted him to get started, so that he didn’t even know about it.
Pretty much te King’s fault the way I see it, that he hadn’t been informed of any of it.

So Im pretty sure this is a romance but…. The mclooks to be about 30+ and the girl looks at most 18, however it is very hard to tell ages from drawings let alone fantasy race ages storywise. But going by the way she acts and demeanor, coupled with the very soft face, she seems to be about 16 to at most 22
