Looks like he found another magical artifact. Now it just remains to be seen what it does and if there’re any drawbacks to its use or presence. Hell, the salt itself may’ve been produced by it, salting the earth to kill off the native flora and fauna was a common tactic in ancient warfare. Dias’s lack of magic may be a mixed blessing, but it does come in handy with situations like this.
