I just realized, Dias house has a Ram as its Coat of Arms.
But, so is House Harkonnen from Dune.
Also, House Harkonnen used to be a truly just an noble House.
I hope, the Coat of Arms chosen by Dias isn’t a red herring for anything.
Felt kinda bittersweet seeing the girls all grown up in that brief vision of the future, but time waits for nobody in the end I suppose. Also looks like they have a pretty solid supply of crude oil welling up, definitely an extremely valuable resource for both the present (bitumen or tar/asphalt) and future of Mea Badal if engineering and science in general follows roughly the same path as our own world.
Wonder who the pint-sized brat coming to the dukedom is and what his beef is with Dias in particular. Have a feeling he might’ve been part of the narrative in the past, but it’s been long enough that I’ve forgotten what it might be. Guess it’ll be revealed soon enough anyhow.
Teaching Dias is a good way to info dump, has to be simple and in small does as he gets confused or bored.
