UGH at least half the next chapter is going to be about this guys tragic back story. All well and good for the light novel, or for a frequently updating manga, but this manga takes ages between releases.
And I can predict what’s going to happen, Lion will eventually reveal part of all of his back story to MC, thinking MC has lead a golden life to now, only for MC to casually reveal his own tragic backstory about becoming an orphan and leading a group of other orphans, and growing up with absolutely no magic power at all. Lion will be humbled, MC will humbly forgive Lion for the misunderstanding and the two will bond. Cue the Full Metal Alchemist handshake
