Finished binging up to this point. It seems we’re approaching the end, I think… with the order of these recent chapters it’s getting harder to tell how far we actually are in the climax.
Also, is memory loss a cliche in otome game reincarnation stories? I haven’t delved as deep into the genre compared to others, but now after reading more of them, “I became the wife of the monstrous crown prince” as well as “Next life as a villainess: all routes lead to doom” had some illusion or reality warping ability that made the heroine forget her loved one/ones or their loved ones forget them, then as a demonstration of how much they care they manage to break out and remember everything.
Not to bash it as it can be an interesting plot development that’s in line considering the type of story. Them breaking out of the false reality is the culmination of the love they gained throughout the story’s progression (same way the hero gets strong and defeats the villain with the powers he gained on his journey), but now seeing it for the 3rd time it was just something that came to mind how I might be getting a bit jaded the same way people are with isekai “I am reborn as a hot overpowered dude who beats up annoying people and has a harem of hot women”.
Just my take on the current scenario, but so far I’ve been very encapsulated by this story, hopefully now as the finish line draws closer the panels will get less chaotic, bad uploads really can be like putting Dijon mustard on ice cream desert at the end of your meal. Even if your appetizer and entrees were the best dishes in the world, in the end if you’re left with Dijon mustard chili wasabi fish paste on your desert that’s the taste you’ll remember leaving the restaurant disappointedly. It’s unfortunately common in the anime/manga/manhwa/manhua industry endings are either unsatisfying or the story refuses to end because money. Reading on this site I can probably count the amount of well executed endings on one hand. Also I’m kinda venting about “I grow stronger by eating”’s ending feeling sloppily rushed that other series that got axed had endings of similar quality.
