So as cliche as it is her original life was clearly a reborn dragon (red dragon) and she shut out those memories or never found out or whatever. And then after the experiments on her failed and she “snapped” she unleashed her dragon power which caused her to mature from a baby dragon to adult which is why she suddenly aged to an adult
