Damn did I call it with the father or what? XD But anyways, this is the same as what a lot of parents do really. They everything they can to protect their “babies” from external harm but completely disregard the mental harm they themselves are doing by ignoring what their “babies” actually want to do. It’s no wonder our world is filled with so many malicious people if this is the treatment they get from their own parents when they go to do something they actually want to do.
What a pitiful woman, she received all the love and affection from her father but wanted her talents recognized and now she wants talents from her children and doesn’t offer any affection and thus perpetuates the cycle of unhappiness!
