i have seen a lot of bad dads in manga but this one takes the cake now
You know, the mc could’ve gone to him from the beginning and or just straight up killed all the troops on his own while they were on the way to to fortress if they really did take 45 days to even reach it… But now I’m wondering wtf the soldiers are thinking now that they’ve witnessed a kid summoning multiple meteors to destroy them, jumped around and beheaded them with ease and that he’s commanding super monsters in a giant fortress
Yup, Lord Ranest, the MC’s shitty father choose to be a Lord, a worse Lord, which in the end bites him in the arse plus with the decisions he made made it even worse than before.
No one else caught on to what he said before he mentioned the infiltration plan. That, “morale can be restored with a system of REWARDS”. He’s not only terrible father, and lord, but scum human to no ends. With a line like that you know what he’s planning to do after the battle.

And even if she were to really succed in opening the gates, how many soldiers will be able to return home? Will there even be any or not? The losses are already tremendous and keep increasing without killing others… China has a saying of losing 8000 to kill 10 000, but here they have already lost at least 4000, maybe 5000 to kill 0. It couldn’t be worse than this. Every loss can and will reduce the already low chances of success, yet they keep pushing and pushing and pushing with plans made on the spot.
