Ok that’s a bit of a red flag for me. Why would he suddenly show his eyes to a random ass kid? Why the unnecessary risk of the child telling his father and making a mess. It shows me that he isn’t that intelligent and calculating, which I dislike.
Also it doesn’t make sense that knowledge would change that drastically over only 200 years. Maybe there’s a better explanation later, hopefully
