I hope this MC eventually learns to kill people before they come back again with more and more absurd experiments. Enemies need to be killed/become unable to have a comeback, else they’re just going to come up with something insane, eventually causing more and more damage that could have been prevented by preeventively killing them.
Dude was (or still is) part of Kronos, the Royal Family’s assassin squad, don’t fucking lie and say “I have some concerns with your inhumane practices.” You have no problem creating tools for assassins to murder with and I highly doubt all their victims were criminals or killed ‘humanely’. You don’t get to try and take the moral high ground with scum like him because he’s a human, author. Especially seeing what he’s done to Bass.
And let’s talk about the MC. He slaughtered demons the second they did anything, ‘because they prey on humanity’ but lets every single human he meets who does the same thing get away with their bad behavior regardless of how scummy they are or how many times he’s attacked because he refuses to kill them.

Better the devil you know, i suppose. MC is right that pursuing the disguised baddies can cause a lot of damage to his reputation and the people around. Eventually he could have the whole world against him and even if he wins there is nothing worthwhile left and everyone spits when they hear his name. This happens to the person who kills those that harm him but who does not have a villain plan to manipulate social views.
Even if they get away and start a new plan MC at least knows who to look for and they also start to fear him.
If he kills all the bad ones then another 2 or 3 enemies grow to replace each one killed. Family, friends and even rivals of the dead villain step up and it DOESN’T end. MC is quite smart in letting small villains go (like the assasins) and giving himself time and space to kill the major ones ON HIS OWN TIMELINE.
