So he erased his memories so he won’t have the experience of having been defeated by the MC once again, and have yet another chance of doing something insane. This should cycle will never end as long as he does not get what it takes to kill humans.

I like how the MC knows he can help bass and even though he has enough power to ignore it he maintains the responsibility that keeps one a decent human being. He is smart enough to realize that revenge or intolerant ‘justice’ leads to a far stronger cycle of threat than doing things properly when it suits him. It allows him to choose the places of battle a little so he can minimize innocent casualties(you never know where a NEW threat will strike but you know prior enemies a little).
Although of course, anyone reading can see what the story is saying about those idiot that just kill anyone that attacks them—-they turn into insane monsters caught up in their own selves whether they were demons or humans to start with.
