Ummm, just saying, but if you tie magic to your bloodline, that can get pretty dumb. Just think; after a few generations, how many people will have the same blood running through them? It is better for it to only be passed to the head of the household or whatever, not the bloodline.

They must have forgotten that their ancestors were probably commoners or people without high status like damn they didnt make their magic cause of wealth they wanted the next generation to improve and research more magic not these silly noble titles or territory
