i don’t know why but steven marker supposed to be one of the strongest within the saints and honestly he is bben a disappointment lately
1) he was in hospital for weeks after that octopus incident
2) he lost to a non saint bastard even though it was a sneak attack he let his guard down
3) even right now when one of his sect’s member has betrayed cheon yooha is fighting him instead of him ( i know author is giving yooha time to shine but still)
for a person who claimed to have surpassed lee geon (before becoming a god) this is disappointing
pls marry me yooha

This fight perfectly illustrates the two biggest problems I have with this manwha,
1. The villains aren’t allowed to be anything besides pure evil:
SS Class guy could’ve been a genuinely good antagonist if he had genuinely wanted the best for Leo and just lost his way due to feeling like Steven didn’t follow the principles of the clan or out of jealousy towards Yooha or smth. But instead we get a meaningless reveal that he killed the previous saint which just opens questions the manwha can’t answer and only serves to make him an unforgivable evil so we can cheer for our protagonists being the good guys and not having to fave any consequences for their actions, that reveal genuinely killed a big part of his depth and is quite possibly the worst written reveal/retcon of this manwha.
2. No one is allowed to win besides MC.
Yooha was getting pushed back and it looked like she was finally going to awaken her power or smth to fight back and grow, instead she just gets bailed out by MCs weapon, meaning that she doesn’t actually have to do anything or grow and that her opportunity for growth was instead turned into another MC glazefest.
Her moment was turned into a moment showcasing MCs weapon for genuinely no reason, it would’ve been much better if she only received it after winning this fight
