Why does he want approval from his father and siblings? Why become the family head? There is no benefit, I feel the story is becoming a sport manhwa.

promoting/not preventing conflict between prospects successors is such a dumb thing. Even more so for those mages, I can’t see any benefit except one side loosing time and the other making less progress.
Also why does he try to show off and prove himself everywhere when he knows he’ll attract hindrances and when he has a secret to keep which is already difficult
I get that the manhwa need some action but is there only stupid ways to bring it ?
