Why save him, if you only wanted revenge? Let the monster get it for you. You could’ve waited to kill it. You can fly on the shield, you don’t even need the ship

Killed the monster before he got exhausted by using the flying shield—and Raizer had to watch when he knew he could hardly do it himself. NICE.
Made sure Raizer could not get the kill , did not risk the ship being broken while Raizer and monster fought (would be stupid to think that he could fly all the way home on the shield), and now Raizer is fearing for his life again
Great set up by the author, unless they manage to destroy the boat anyway.
