Aight so I think that this ‘other world’ may just be in the far far future. So far away that we eventually got technology that made us god-like, then creating new worlds with ‘magic’. So when she says that he has the same knowledge as the ancients and the earth dragon said that he ‘doesn’t mind them’ much like how they were previously used by ancients could be a hint that humanity was the ancient race.
This idea mostly stems from what was said in this chapter and the fact that they used the words ‘telephone’ and ‘smartphone’ which, obviously, they aren’t at the stage of civilisation to make and use them.
But at the end of the day I’m probably wrong and them using magic that mimics what we have in our reality is most likely the author using principles that we (the reader) are familiar with to make spells and the story easier to understand.
