I get the feeling that the MC is a new demigod, hence why the other demigods are flocking to him. He is going to heal Bast, then reunite humanity with the demigods. I also suspect that whatever force is behind the marks is evil, and will turn out to be the finial boss, either that or this seriese ends with a super ecchi note. either outcome i am ok with.
