So soul transferal for immortality, hopping from one body to another depending on how useful it is to you. Makes me wonder if the book would still recognize him as its master if he completed the ritual, though I doubt it since it’s been stated multiple times that once a hero dies their weapon is up for grabs again for anyone that’s summoned or chosen by it. Sure he’d still be around as a soul, but his body would have to die to complete the process.
