So… there’s some strange premise out there which says that, somehow, being unable to control yourself leads to strength? The strongest ones have no self-discipline?

Okay then.
It’s hard to suspend disbelief for this one, although I admit it makes for some humor.
I don’t know how that trope started, though.
It really reduces the feeling of threat from the supposedly “strongest” when they’re victims to their own every whim and impulse.
And after spending all that work to establish a character as strong, why undermine it like that?
Makes me curious what it’s all being set up for…
