Annoying stalling in this chapter just to end in a cliffhanger.
Already too many times we see that mc start to do something and then skip it, just to have the thing he does be in a flashback for stalling purpose.
Just like with the perfume thing. In this chapter we need to have the part where mc learn from the books about magic for just to stall the story. If this story keep on doing this concept then i probably drop it and the story also probably get axed cause they do that so much while we are only at chapter 17
