It seems like defensive magic doesn’t exist. Also despite being many times stronger than your average plebeian knights die like flies. How are humans even alive in this world. With nobles relatively small numbers and the lethality of even low level monsters forget about knights, non-magic humans shouldn’t even exist.
Additionally one of magic’s biggest advantages is range yet these two nobles don’t have a spell that can go even a third of the range of a bow?

Turan had a very good mentor, who got enough sense beaten into his skull that he then expanded upon in the Library. And then knew he would be used for something soon, leading to this Hunt. Also, since they throw the knights away so easily, do they have something to encourage them to have kids to keep up those numbers, or are they just pretentious fools?
