Technically, there’s also humans on a grander scale. Usually you hear about the generics: Elves, with long life spans but low procreation rates; Dwarves, short and skilled in blacksmithing and other matters of mining and gold; Dragons and Wyverns, powerful avians, etc. In pretty much all of those stories, humans are dominant because they multiply very quickly and are adaptable to varied environments.
