Everything about this beggars belief. But the most obnoxious one is continuing to use the name “phony dire bear” when you’ve known almost the whole time that is wasn’t a dire bear, didn’t resemble a dire bear in any way, and that it we know it’s real name.
Also, you know that the dragon has the firepower to kill a Fiend, but needed Theo’s help to set it up. And you know that Gilsela effortlessly killed one on her own. Why on earth would the plan be ‘Let’s take all the effective firepower we have, even though we don’t need them both, leaving the village undefended. Also, let’s bring a large group of useless vulnerable people to the place we expect to find the fiend, the only thing that could possibly handicap the hero.” Beggars belief, indeed.
