All the soldiers so far we have seen are all weaklings as heck. Can’t even deal with the magic beast that are normal animals in their world. So what is the problem with the demon army that it takes them even any effort to eliminate the humans ? While the humans treat the hero candidates like prisoners as by the look how they transport them to the frontlines.
It’s already exhausting to travel with wagons that have no suspension then think of what it be on foot for days to frontline and then they expect you to fight as soon as they arrive there
