These types of characters remind me of Nazri from Exalted. But I consider him a better character. Nazri, unlike these types of characters, doesn’t just blindly followed his obsession of destroying the Fair Folk ( Chaos Fairies ), but rather became an avid politician to do so. He knew he couldn’t get the other factions of Sidereals to do what he wanted, and that their infighting was bad for his own mission, so he made his own faction, the Independent faciton, survived assasination attempts, and rose to a position of authority to basically tell the Gold Faction and the Bronze Faction, “OK shut up and do your job”.
Point is, killing the Fair Folk wasn’t Nazri’s only Agenda, he realized that in order to achieve better results he had to play the game ( politics ), and not go solo killing stuff like a barbarian ( then again Sidereals are not really fit for constant combat so that may also had played a role ). He had to make the system work for him not work to try and make the system work.
