Maybe the series should be renamed to “the sword cheater”.
I hate such a forced plot, he clearly shouldn’t won, too many victories too early could crumble the image and prestige of power and the sword ranks. Eat one sword, win against this clearly wayy more experienced person, eat one more and then you can somehow win against somebody who has way more experience and talent than you. Like, what? If there is no suffering or hurdles to the path, then don’t portray his path as “thorny” or “hard” when all he needs is to get lucky once and eat a good sword and a person with effort, talent, and experience gets defeated just because he is the main character. Author’s nepo baby.
