This is actually good, it started off with a weird feeling to me, like something that would burn out quickly, but its laying good foundations and keeping the MC both strong but humbled both by his condition and the fact he knows his enemy was strong than him in his prime so even then he has to go beyond that.
he’ll likely also push those around him into higher realms too
