read first 3 chapters, so far this is just painful to read. this is the exact same story as at least five other manhwa with essentially no originality so far.
plot is meh at best, basic regression revenge. character decisions have made no sense whatsoever, all of them stupid at best. author’s decisions for how characters act is what it boils down to, and the author is really bad at it.
i might be overly critical but this is like the 3rd or 4th time i’ve read this exact same story. also, mc looks like a frog imo, but thats not really an issue.
frankly, if you’ve never read one with this kind of plot before, i’d advise trying it but if not i really wouldn’t advise reading past the 1st chapter to check if you might enjoy it.
hmm.. 1st?
looks okay from the cover,,,,

It’s nothing crazy. The art is very good, the story is very generic though as it’s a reincarnated revenge story. A lot of yap below.
I personally think the story is okay despite being so generic, it’s a power fantasy after all and they’re always addicting to read even if you know they’re not written the best.
Story Summary:
Our MC starts off as an orphan on the brink of death until he’s approached by one of the empire’s strongest clan leaders who happens to take our MC back to his clan. The details of his years at the clan aren’t stated but based on the behavior of other clan members, he was viewed as a useful tool by everyone, especially the clan leader; our MC is blind to all of this though and continues to fight for the clan, crafting his own swordsmanship that destroys his body when used all for the clan’s benefit.
One day our MC is directly directed by the clan leader to take part in a battle and ordered to take the enemy commander’s head to which our MC immediately agrees to do. During the battle, our MC defeats a large wave of enemies using his swordsmanship, taking a toll on his body before he realizes another hoard of enemies are coming his way, forcing him to hold his sword again and use his swordsmanship. That’s when the clan leader announces the family’s mages (I think) to use a curse/spell on our MC, instantly creating spikes that protrude out from the inside of his body, instantly incapacitating our MC. The clan leader finally reveals his true intentions with this move, our MC was only brought over to the clan as he possessed such lifeless and promising eyes, holding the potential to be a good tool… but he was starting to show too much promise for a tool, worrying the clan leader that he would eventually bite the hand that fed him.
(He was beginning to show an affinity for magic, which is incredibly rare as only the empire’s founder happened to carry an affinity for magic and swordsmanship.)
Our MC is then subjected to ridicule by his fellow clan members as they reveal he was never anything but a tool in their eyes- our MC can’t believe that this is happening, crying out that he would never have beared his fangs at the clan, even calling the clan leader his father before being immediately shut down by him. In the next scene, our MC’s arm is severed as he begins to vow revenge and attempts to use his swordsmanship as he begins to lose consciousness as he’s then beheaded- as he’s then reincarnated afterwards as the son of the other empire’s strongest clan and his previous clan’s rival, the strongest magic clan.
Upon reincarnating our MC realized that his power is overflowing, stating that his new body is the power that the clan leader was so desperately trying to seal in his previous life, promising to exact revenge for the betrayal in his previous life. Yada yada, a few years pass and our MC is now incredibly adept in magic as he’s invited to the royal academy, an institute that trains the next generation’s promising talents from across the empire. This academy grants one wish for the semester’s valedictorian which was the reason the swordsmanship clan’s clan master was so strong, with our MC now making it his goal to earn the same valedictorian position, have his wish granted and take revenge on the clan.
