Like this promise ever work where the world needs to end and if you help us then you be part of the new world. Especially when they set a curse magic on you that will end you if you dare to talk about the cult on anything. You are just a tool to be used and then dossed away when you have out lived your usefulness

Hmm, I wonder if Claudio already achieved their goal and is only just finding out about it; for example, if they aren’t actually a demon-cult but know the demons are coming regardless, and are hoping for Will (or someone else) to time-skip backward and be a “savior”, it’d be interesting and while it wouldn’t necessarily lead to a cessation of conflict it would add nuance and permutations to it (and make it more than just pro-demon vs. anti-demon).
So far, seems more likely to be a demon-cult but I can hope.
