I legitimately skipped 90% of the past two chapters because I KNEW the author was going to stretch and ragebait with that new character so we can feel the “know your place” moment even more. I get it, but some authors (like this one) over do it. We won’t get that moment until like 2-3 chapters from now. Annoying tactic.
