As for why cannabis is used as an example of a horrible drug… I’m assuming that this is a Korean webtoon translated, in which case we would have to take into account Korean culture. In Korea Cannabis is so illegal that as a citizen you can be penalized for using cannabis in a different country where it is legal. When you go back to Korea, if they find out, they will give you a hefty fine and up to five years in prison. In Korean law it is classified as a narcotic, and only certain medications derived from cannabis are even approved for medical use, and they only approved it in like 2018. Any direct extracts or use of the direct plant is still strictly prohibited. To Koreans cannabis IS a horrible drug.
