No she did have to die. If you get your head out of your ass and think for a sec, it could be anyone the duke could have a married. And they would all go back home and Audrey would be jealous no matter who he brought home. Maybe there would not be an apparent reason to commit treason, but if there were she would commit treason again. Thats a swcurity issue that needs to be rooted out anyway.
