“I think therefore I am” is just the inference that “I” exists, not that it’s necessarily human.
Here, it’s like looking for the “real” onion by peeling away each layer till there’s nothing left. We might not agree on what is an onion, but irrespective, I’ve experienced it, even if I can’t precisely define it or give proof of it’s “onion-ness”. There’s no such thing as an onion, but also, there’s definitely such thing as an onion. Being human is kind of the same. Ouroboros.

Being human is constantly searching the meaning of being human. It’s the continuous movement towards something that is unattainable. It’s the same as asking oneself “what is the meaning of life”. A question whose endless answer keeps us moving. And then, moving where? See, humans are a walking paradox. We believe that an infinite system is inconceivable, but at the same time, when we see a fence (be the one around our garden or the edges of the universe) we always wonder what lies beyond it. Hence Jaewan here wants to destroy the system. Because Mullark, becoming a god, he stopped searching for the answer. Or worse, he thinks he found it. And because of that, he is now confined in his certainties that “all things are the system”, never looking at what could possibly lie BEYOND the system. Or in other words, what “the world after the end” (of the system) could possibly look like.
ego cogito, ergo sum
Isn’t just cultivating big brother over and over fattening up a pig for slaughter? One could say it’s a stable world but it’s more like a farm.
I can’t help but like Mullark. Even if he is this arc’s ‘bad guy’, he asks Jaehwan all the right questions.
As long as Jaehwan remains draped in his ‘clothes of refusal’ and never answers why he wants to destroy the system, it won’t assuage my fear that he might doom an entire world filled with it’s own myriad existences pursuing things and wanting their own small space in which they can live freely.
Finally, it’s time to end the world been so long since Big DIO and Florida Priest tried; now it’s finally time
