I don’t see why he didn’t call him a friend. Males that they are friends with always mock and make of of their male friends. If a male is being friendly to you, he doesn’t see you as a friend but someone he just knows. My friend is short and was in the US Navy and I mock him about that. I was in the US Army and am rated 100% disabled by the Veteran Affairs department and he mocks me about those things.
When his daughter was being harassed he asked me if I’d be willing to bail him out of jail and I told him to call me with his one call allowed.
So we may mock each other but there is more to it.

- mc absorbed a dragon last chapter leading to the ability to dominate a fricken dragon

Would the fate thing go the other way as well? If a person that would have died too the dragon is a serial killer,crime boss or patient zero for a plague.
