Compared to WN, Dragon King’s personality has improved significantly. In WN, he simply left a note saying he was going to sleep and that anyone who looked for him would die, then disappeared. Here, however, he expresses a willingness to help and even offers encouragement. Considering that he could intervene in a situation that posed a serious threat not only to Lloyd but to the human world as well, doing nothing would have been extremely uncharitable. No matter how insignificant humans might seem, after interacting with them in the the series “I Became the Chef of the Dragon King” – and even contemplating marriage – it makes sense that he would show at least some compassion. There’s even enough reason to explain why MC might refuse his help… This adaptation is excellent.
