With Lloyd’s turn shown it seems his parents are heavily to blame. They seem to have done nothing to foster his talents or make him proud of them.
He was hardworking, honest, kind, and genuinely happy for others success. He only turned when he was thrown out (in his mind). But in reality it seems like they actually did do that. His father carved a sword for Habiel, yet the only thing they could think of to test if Lloyd was a different person was his grandfather’s coat?! So Lloyd didn’t get anything special from his parents to foster his talents and aknowledge him?
