There is NO way that beating someone to death with a rock, causing painful injuries all over his body before he finally died in order to take his clothes, could ever be called a justifiable emergency situation.

I feel like this wouldn’t count as an emergency situation. If they took his stuff after he died naturally of the cold, that’s fine, but causing his death goes beyond the norm.

Well, kidnapping the MC wasn’t exactly necessary for their survival either, but they still tried to do it

not helping is not the same as HURTING
not taking someone onto your boat is not the same as kicking someone off of it
AND
MC lived that means they cant claim it was gonig to kill them as a kid younger then them lived
