The people in the comments are always so misogynist or dumb 💀 Y’all are not a girl’s girl. She didn’t talk about the pregnancy to him because it’s the only connection that SHE KNOWS will keep her safe. She doesn’t know about ANYTHING ELSE like the priest’s plans. BUT she understands that she’s imposing on the temple so she’s giving the choice to leave to Calix. She wants Calix to make a DECISION without the pregnancy in mind (and to assert that even if she WAS pregnant she can be independent on her own), but he uses the idea of pregnancy to tie her down anyway because he WANTS to keep her tied down to him. He’s using the idea of being responsible for HER to make an excuse for his crush/attachment. And the REASON WHY HE’S SO ATTACHED IN THE FIRST PLACE IS BECAUSE HE’S A VIRGIN WHO DOESN’T KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT WOMEN!!!!!! DO Y’ALL REALLY THINK THEIR RELIGIOUS INSTITUTION WOULD TEACH THEM ABOUT WOMEN OUTSIDE OF “women make you impure hurr durr dont even look at them lol”
