I’ll be guessing something along the lines of Magic Swordsman, Paladin, Hero, or Heavenly Demon

Nah, it means “whatever” It’s genius, the author doesn’t need to do any planning, he can just pull “whatever” outa his a$$ as he’s writing.

My guess is its [NULL] or something (NULL quite literally means “nothing”, basically the “class” of “Jobless” you see in basically every manga with a Job system or something like that.)

Ah yes, the trope of making the MC look smarter by making everyone else dumber and not understand basic concepts of their trade.

If i saw a dwarf hitting a sword on an anvil, I would probably not know whatever that was part of tempering or when it’s done or anything. Him asking and telling about tempering (kinda in a random situation) feels a bit forced so he can get some fancy tempered weapon for free later.
And if he is a isekai maniac isn’t it obvious that it’s “grabled text” because its such an epic/legendary skill that they can’t actually identify it with their cheap tools.
Don’t really see anything “mysterious”. Just the “op as hell, you can learn all the cool/rare skills from all roles/classes” skill. It’s seen as bad probably just because the conditions are unknown and thus maybe harder, but give in exchange rare abilities.

my guess is that the garbled text doesn’t follow the normal standards for classes in the world.
