Problem is the author want us reader to sympathize with this fam as morally good guys. So he won’t kill anyone, although the mafia gang will enventually retaliate.
Then it’s a missed opportunity for cho hangil who has the leeway to do it : police won’t investigate and it sends a mesage to less important thugs like the bat motherfucker.
