It’s not that relatable that MC is such a coward. I get it that facing a pack of wyverns is tough, even though you have immunity to damage and two of the world’s most fearsome creatures as bodyguards, and there is zero possibility of you being even slightly hurt and you are easily strong enough to defeat the wyverns yourself, but ok, it’s still scary.

But he can’t even face the guildmaster being worried about him? He can’t bear to accept payment for his services? He can’t face the possibility of being blessed by more goddesses? At some point, it becomes a Laurel and Hardy routine, not a character you can see yourself in.

I like how the MC didn’t randomly become an all-slaying badass. He’s actually pretty level-headed for someone who got transported to a crazy fantasy world from peaceful surroundings, unlike others who immediately go on to fight demons’n’shit to save the world.
