Well… after 3 chapters it’s safe to say, that the kid looks like her ex-lover, who might have died in an accident. At least all the details are pointing towards that. Her friend in the bar almost bursted out something vital when she saw him, but decided not to say it. The tongue piercing is probably a present of her exbf, which is why she still takes care of it.
Though, this is only my assumption.
