there is something that came to mind while they mentioned the third ancient power. It seem like the previous users knew about the other powers(the 2nd one said familiar with) and probably also knew eachother. So what if they aren’t just random people but actually a whole group/tribe or even an own civilization that had these powers and since the crown prince seems to know more than the average person about these powers and is not “human” also the source of his magical hair dye is not mana probably another power, what if he is a direct descendent of those people, like probably from his mothers side and he either is not the son of the king or his hair color would reveal that he is a descendent.
something about revealing his heritages could lead to his death, like humans(or the organization) hunt the ancient people down or use them because they’re too powerful, would explain why he didn’t use his powers when the incident happened, may cuz his mom told him to never reveal himself no matter what( something along those lines)

and he Probably asked mc if he was human because he suspected that he might be like him a descendent since he also had an ancient power.
and those ancient people are probably humans but with superpowers which makes them differ from normal humans and seen as inhuman.
since it’s a fantasy gerne probably something like elves, but without the ears.
